The original is rubbish. Yes, it's moderately entertaining rubbish in small doses, but it's still rubbish. I used to watch it in the 80's and have been watching some of the re-runs on Sky. The plot is almost always the same and, despite millions of bullets being fired, no-one ever gets hurt.
There was an episode that I remember from when I was a kid, where a helicopter crashed into the top of a cliff, exploded and fell down the cliff to crash on the rocks below. Everybody (the bad guys) then got out without a scratch.
I know that a lot of people with rose-tinted glasses are moaning about this remake, but it'll probably be better than the TV series (he says, without having seen the trailer, so I may change my mind)

But that was always the point original. It was a cheese fest where no one got hurt and no matter how implausible and impossible the story you just knew the good guys would come out of it in a cheesy way.
The stuff they built out of nothing made it a bit like Blue Peter. Blue Peter with guns, thats what it was

haha thats amusing i thorght because every one was saying NO that the original was good :p
we shall see when i comes out
Who cast that?
I've been saying for years (in pub and office arguments) that the cast of any A-Team movie should be as follows
Hannibal - Tommy Lee Jones
Face - Tom Cruise
B.A. - Ving Rhames or Michael Clark Duncan
Murdoch - Jim Carey
That's how it should have been done (although I doubt it would be financially feasible with those names)
Looks amazing..!!!
Woz can't really disagree with that, sounds perfect! :O

The cast I had heard was going to be a re-make of Three Kings
Hannibal - Clooney
Face - Marky Mark
BA - Some Rapper
Murdock then was put out as Jim Carey - but I dont think he can actually do the role...
I wonder if, in this PC world we can have "Howling Mad Murdock" or whether he will be Special Needs Murdock...

Back in the mid-80's it was cheesy fun - you knew they'd get captured each week, get locked in a workshop, blast their way out in something they made in minutes, lots of bullets, bad guys always lose, they get away just as Decker comes round the corner. For this era they're gonna need a heck of a lot of continuous effects to make it work.
Woz - do you really think Shorty Cruise would play a supporting role to the Hannibal character? Spot on with recommendations for BA and Hannibal but too many people hate everything Carey has ever done to have him in a dream lineup.
And to put the matter straight, in the original series there was the odd bullet hole in people. Either Face or H-M Muroch got shot in one episode which was a boring morale-laden one that the writers obviously put even less effort into than normal.
Yeep Murdoch got shot, and BA became all chummy and friends with him, instead of ripping him as usual.

If i remember right Mr T got it to. A 50cal throw the leg except it did'nt blow his leg off Mmmm. It was a stupid program but i'll still go and watch the film for a laff.
The original A team rules.
no doubt. This will flop major time. You just can't make another A-team with new actors, its gna be a joke. Money hungry film makers!
Like the new starsky and hutch. What a flop that was. I mean it was entertaining, and the car was the same, but these things just cannot be remade with new people. The new Knight Rider shows are a load of baloney as well!
Oh and at 1.02 in that trailer, BA says, 'it sucks to be you homie". Oh dear, why ruin stuff further with scriptwriting like that!

Why not? Many people now won't remember the original, from over a quarter of a century ago.
It's not as if the original was particularly great either. It was entertaining, at least for a while until you got bored of the same plot every week, but it wasn't anything really special.

It just depends on how much you liked the show to begin with. It used to be one of my fave shows for quite a bit, and so the movies just not gonna cut it regardless of how entertaining it is and all that.
