Hi, whats the best air filter for an sv650 sk4 ? Is it worthwhile buying a washable ? Has anyone tried hi-flo filters?

I use Hi-flo air and oil filters on a curvy, I don't know if they are the best but they do the job on the side of the pack so to speak so I have no complaints with them.

how long do you plan on keeping the bike?

how many miles do you plan on doing on the bike in the time you will have it?

if the answer is more than 4 years and doing 60,000 miles or over then get a washable air filter. if not then just buy the genuine/pattern ones. or if the genuine/pattern ones are about the same price as washable.

there is very little performance gain in fitting a 'performance' air filter to a pointy.

Just stick to Genuine ones , I change mine once a year and I do around 12,000 miles a year . Come spring time I sling a new one in and do an oil change at same time as part of my spring regime , the rest of the year it`s just oil changes at regular intervals .
