Just watched it. Excellent, if only all who own a mobile and have access to a car watched it.

I could only stomach a few minutes but the message has certainly hit home, if I ever end up running a DIY store I definitely won't be employing any welsh tarts.

A good message but too long IMO. As can be seen by the posts on here, youngsters get bored before the action starts. The accident scene has been trailed so many times by now it loses the impact. The aftermath with the effects on family and friends, strangers whose lives were ruined by the actions of the 'star' are well done, but how many of the target audience will watch it that far?

I guess this is a good one to make compulsory viewing at sixth forms and colleges throughout the land though.

Fek. That was sobering.....

I got as far as the ginger bint ringing the blonde one with the devil horns on.
I assume the message is don't use your phone at the wheel.

yeah to be fair, they should have just played it from when she crashes and showed the aftermath.

Still a good reminder IMO.

Ooops, I just didn't have 30 minutes to waste on something I already knew.

Australian adverts are very hard hitting, shown on TV is the wrong place though.....

When I was at school we'd have police officers come in, talk about drink driving, using the phone whilst driving and see some really graphic stuff.

I mean the film fails, cos you turned away. Although on here it's probably preaching to the converted.

TBH it'd need to be played to a captive audience to have any effect. The ones who feel it's common sense are just going to click off it and do/watch something else whereas the ones who haven't got the sense would rather be elsewhere strapping fireworks to cats or fingering girls 5 years their junior in the back of their corsa.

I've got the sense, but I'd still rather be elsewhere :D

Makes a good point but way too long winded.

If they wanted this idea to work they'd be better off incorporating the storyline into something like Eastenders so people would watch it. Otherwise its badly acted by most and even if played to a classroom full of the right aged kids who are forced to watch it you can bet most would be slyly texting their mates and not watching the film

I found it on iPlayer earlier today, and watched all of it.

I suppose im the target audience... 18 years old, just passed my driving test, own a mobile phone, and have friends who ive seen texting in the car.
I think these sort of shock tactics are effective, and although i dont text and drive, i certainly wont ever consider it and i know that ill be giving any drivers plenty of grief if they use their phone and im a passenger.

Graphic.
Dont think the pregnant blond one though would have shagged the bloke in the chicken suit, she could do a lot better.

failed watchin it earlier got too bored. It needs to start with the crash IMO but when it gets going its horrid. I feel for the rents, they'd be in the dark just like all the other people abusing them but wouldnt be able to do anything other than keep quiet. Bloody rotten. Vert clear message.

I skipped to the yukky bit, it gets the point over albeit in a long drawn out way.

It made it's point tho didnt it :)

Made a very graphic point, but you'd have to have a captive audience to get them to watch it all the way through. I skipped through missing small chunks and found that more effective

As step-dad to three kids who lost their real father in a car crash caused by a 17 year old driver, the aftermath of a fatal crash like that is absolutely horrific for all concerned. I was with my ex from about 9 months after her late husband died, and her son was only 4 months old when it happened. You can't imagine the suffering and grief she went through. Nor can anyone imagine the grief my now 16 year old step-son has had to cope with for a dad he never really knew. The youngest daughter still has days when she withdraws into herself and can't communicate about how she feels, and the eldest daughter has nightmares about the night the police called to tell her mum that Mark was dead, cos she sat on the stairs and heard it all.

It's not something I'd ever want to put anyone through, not even someone I didn't like.

The elder daughter I mentioned above has a blue Ka2 almost identical to the one in that film

On a serious note it's well made. but everything before the crash is pointless and boring.

Sends a strong message though.

Still abit too long. I struggled to watch it all. Infact I skipped to the aftermath of the crash.

My mum has one as well, used it to go to the shop when my car needed something done and I was made to take it for its MOT the other day. I was not impressed with it. Slow, cramped, doeskin handle very well and it doesn't feel particularly safe I defiantly would never like to be in a crash if i was in it.

Take it you never drove a Rover then? Another foot in of metal infront of me and another 3 feet of metal behind me compared to the ka. Thicker doors and supports more airbags. Better suspension. more responsive engine. Better brakes than the ka. nicer interior. A spot of rust on the n/s/r arch and thats it. No panels falling off when you hit mine with a stick. It had my mate drie into the side of me a month or so back with no damage what so ever to my car not een cosmetic :D

I think your dad bought a duff one then, We had a fair few rovers and the only one that we got rid ofbecause something went wrong was the old automatic 800 because the gearbox went, my dad couldnt be bothered to change it him self and it was un economical to pay for the repair so he got him self something shiny and new. And what do you meant you dont like any cars you can get insured on at 17?!? theres loads to choose from. PS choose a rover coupe, the look gowjus, lovely to drive cheap for spare parts and relatiely cheap insurance.

True, and on a small piece of **** like that, next they'll be asking for you to take out insurance on a shopping trolley before entering a supermarket, oh hang on that's probably more than that fiat.
