View Full Version : At Last a hugger confirmed to fit a K9 SV650Sport!

Aha!!

Its taken many many months and i've seen huggers "almost" fit a K9 but i've now got one thats made for it specifically. The garage reckon (rocket centre) its a issue with the swingarm.

Personally i dont care, £68.88 and i'll see if it fits (only in black i'm told :( ).

Pics to follow in a week.

My only concern is the fact i've got a beowulf endcan not standard factory one.

Just out of curiosity what's the different between a K9 and the previous pointy's on this?

+1 to 5hort5. I was under the impression that the swingarm is exactly the same (bar colour) from K4 onwards.

Nope according to all the the companies i spoke to none would say their product will work on a K9, suzuki still dont have an official hugger for the K9. Theres according to the parts department at the rocket centre a small difference on the swingarm that means the k8 hugger wouldnt fit.

Theres been various threads about fitting huggers onto k9's and none were a perfect fit!

I'm going to the garage in a week or so, i'll try and grab more details then!

The parts fiche shows me exactly the same part number for the SK5 swingarm as it does the SK9, meaning they are the same!! Id guess then its not a swingarm issue!

Well its something :P cos which company is going to turn down my money if their product works.

Dunno i've only been told by various suppliers they dont have one that fits the k9 dead on.

As i've never fitted a hugger i dunno, i assume it fits somewhere other than just replacing the chainguard maybe thats the issue.

had the same response when I called a couple of suppliers. Could not guarantee that the 08 hugger would fit due to modification???? Anyone Know what the difference is ?????:confused:
