Having had charging issues on and off since I got the sv, as many others have had, i finally got around to doing more than just tapping into the sv reg rec wiring and putting a direct feed to the battery.

I did the D'ecosse mod from over at svrider.

Got some wiring and a Mosfet FH010a reg rec and hooked it all up (chose an FH010 instead of an FH008 as it suited my wiring more)

14.7 at idle and 14.5 ish with headlights on full @ 5,000rpm :D :D

Used to be 14.1 ish at idle, dropping a bit with dims and down to 12.7 with full. Revving also brought the voltage down to 12.5 ish on full beam. Never ran with my fulls on unless an emergency for fear of battery wearing down. No more fear of that now. A must do for anyone worried about or suffering common reg rec issues!!

Ta for that,
My bike rev's at pretty much the right voltage (14.5v) but Idles at about 12.4, ****ing me off!
Not quite sure this'd solve it (although I've considered it)

This Mod is very easy to do and produces great results. If I can do this without any problems I'm sure anyone can. Although my soldering could be a little tidier. Might redo it this winter just to tidy things up.
