iv fitted the heated grips to my sv,good. but they are wired up to the battery. i know if i leave them on.im sure to flaten the battery.. Not sure about your brown wire wiring idea.

But if you want to see an easy way to wire them to guarantee they won't flatten your battery, I can help.

I've had my hotgrips wired in this way forever, and they've never given my reg/rect or battery any bother.
