Milton Keynes to Potters bar?

which would be quickest at 16:30 tomorrow from mton Keynes to Potters bar the M1 or A5?

For me it would be M1

but I would go(because i know this way) M1 to J12, through harlington,Barton le clay,Hexton,Hitchin,Stevenage A1M J8-to- J1(M25) then 2 miles to potters bar.

A5 can be a nightmare. Id go for the M1
