Nah, i had stubble at 15, trouble is i hate shaving and wish i had bum fluff ;) now i just get more grey than any other colour and im only 39.
Anyway, cant remember that far back.

BTW, when i used to use electric, i always had phillips rotary 3 head jobbies, they are the best i think.

I bought one of these (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Coolskin-HS8460-Rechargeable-Shaver/dp/B002BA5FCA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=drugstore&qid=1264251481&sr=8-1) when it was on offer for 75quid, top of the range jobbie. I used it twice and it got clogged up the second time. It worked, but the time it took and the result, I was quicker and better having a wet shave.

I much prefer using my "safety razo (http://www.gentlemans-shop.com/acatalog/merkur-34-razor.html)r", well it's called a safety razor but you have to be a bit careful, otherwise you will have your face off. Best thing to shave with espically when you put a fresh sharp blade in.

Much better than a Gillette mach 3, 4, turbo, booster rocket vibrator thingy.

electric razors are a bit like women, they all take far to long to do what they have to do.

I use a similar one and know what you mean about being a bit careful. Once had to cancel a date as while I was getting ready I took a good half inch gouge out of my chin with it.

I got Chris a Philips beard trimmer for Christmas. It has a "hoovering" system on it that keeps all the trimmings in the little collection bin and then you empty it. Blooming god send now (no mess) and does a good job of shaving too. He doesn't like the complete off so the first setting is perfect for him. Was about £35 I think.

Slightly off-topic, but for what it's worth for wet shaving the King of Shaves Azor is the bogs dollox! Never clogs up of anything, which I've found all the Gillette ones do!

http://www.shave.com/azor/

Never got on with electric ones, despite trying about 3 in the past 2 years.

i hate wet shaves, i get really bad shavers rash under my chin and on my neck, i avoid shaving as much as i can but i can only really get away with it during the week because i don't have to look smart for work, but then the weekend comes and you want to go out it feels like using sand paper :(, so my thinking is, get an electric trimmer one so i keep stubble and avoid rash

god i sounds so gay :smt095

I've had loads of shavers, and never really had one I like, except for a Remmington micro screen 2. But its old style mains powered one, I find that the battery ones just don't have the DF to give a good shave.

But its still going strong, and still gives me a good close shave. So maybe a Remmington. Shaves as close as a blade, or he'll give you your money back!

Get a decent aftershave (not the smelly stuff, the moisturising stuff) and it might help. I wet shave every other day near enough and don't get rashes. Shaving direction helps, you'll definitely get a rash if you shave the wrong way.

Come come now guys, surely what you need to is to permanently remove hair from the places that cause issues and leave it where you want to grow a nice grown up Goatee beard!

Shaving every day sounds nasty to me, but when I did blokes, I hated the scratchyness of regrowth. Do the girl of your life a favour and have it lasered off. It will take a few sessions and when done, you wont have to shave the places you get a rash. However, if you leave the chin beard and the tash, you can grow a nice beard and look smart with out that nasty hairy neck look. :smt087

Laser is painful (I know, I had my lady garden done! :smt119) but it gets rid of unwanted hair better than a blade. :winner:

Try this for info (http://www.anaplasty-prague.com/laser-depilation-laser-hair-removal/).

For another alternative, try waxing, I have had my legs waxed and some other other parts and it takes a few weeks to grow back. :smt023

* Let us know if you try it, I want to know how much it hurts. I would rather be lasered than waxed again!:smt044

Oh well, if you don't want to listen to aunty Jayne...

What about electrolysis? I hear that this hurts even more than Laser. Needles pushed into your skin and zapping the hair root with a spark to burn it out. Sounds lovely. Try your local beauty salon.

I had a demo of threading a while back, She said that she could do the bits I wanted, but I inherited my Mothers thick hair and the thread snapped! Thanks Mum, I really appreciate the hairy gene and the moustache! :smt087
