Hauled the covers off the bike, they've been on since 2nd week in December.
Front discs had all but siezed, thought the bike was in gear originally, but realised once I pulled the clutch in that the front wheel was binding :(
Covered the thing in S-Doc and had a cup of tea. Then took a toothbrush to the chain. The chain that's been on for around 2k and was orange with rust :(
Cleaned as much carp off the bike as I could, gave it a few rinses and re-washes and then re-lubed the chain and started her up....or at least tried to. Took about a dozen efforts until she kicked into life and then around 10 minutes until the exhaust stopped smoking. Let the rear wheel run around in 1st whilst applying lots more lube...chain looks better but still not great :(.
As I pushed her back to her spot (couldn't take her out as had to go and pick the cage up from the garage), noticed what looks like a shim or a sliver of brake disc deposited on the floor :(.
Think I'll need to strip the brakes front and back.

Finally got the bike running cos it hasnt started since october, by getting off my backside to work outside in the freezing cold and wet northern weather. (no garage) New iridium plugs, service and carb strip (screws are made of cheese after all) to release stuck plungers. Now with much smiling to myself im mostly supping some well earned snakebite :D
Cleaned and lubed my chain.
Cleaned my wheels, which are silver again.
Found a bolt for my crankcase cover so saved £2 on a suzuki item.
Got some of the polished goodies off bikedolph back into a nice and gleaming state.
Fired up the bike to listen to my new exhaust.
Removed some more paint off the water pump, spent some time with wet and dry to get it in a condition to either paint or polish.
Tidied up the shed quite a bit.
Made a looooovely vegetable curry, and I'm now drinking some home made wine. :)

Yesterday I mostly-
fitted the new gear lever & footpeg that I bought from 21Quest (Cheers Ben- works a treat.)
Cleaned the bike (back wheel is now lovely- thanks to GT85- front not so much) and sprayed it with protectant
Set the clutch up- much better, but gear changes still feel a little 'gritty'- may need to revisit it
Topped the oil up
Went for a quick spin to test it all - mmmmm, much better!
Fitted the new petrol tank and iridium plugs.:)
Been on Guard Commander. Finished at 0900 hrs this morning.
Cleaned the bike, now nice and shiny
Cleaned and lubed the chain, nice and gold again
Polished my exhaust as its rubbish and corrodes easily
Pumped up tyres, well that was yesterday and only front needed doing as it had 28 psi...
Topped up the oil
Decided to check brake light switches were working found out rear wasnt so adjusted it

Today i have Really F***ked the motor on mine :-(
Cleaned mine for the first time in months! The wheels are actually silver again and it will probably go like stink tomorrow due to the weight loss :)
And yesterday I built and fitted a shelving unit for all the toys our two monsters got for Christmas. Next year I think we may well have to knock through in to next door!
