Blue 2004 SV650 (naked). 23,204 miles. Taxed until 31/07/10. MOT until 28/08/10.

Asking for £2195. Make me an offer! Located in W13, London.

Only selling because I'm moving country (back to the US) and it's just too expensive to move. No problems in the year and a half I've had it.

More photos to come. (I'll throw in the Oxford chain you see there. ;))

Seems a steep price you have going there, i have exactly the same bike although it's a k3 it arrived at my door with 19k miles, remus exhaust and the hugger, £1300.

Well, apparently I don't know how to price a bike in the UK! (No big surprise there.) I was just going by adverts I found online. (Restricted it to the London area for relevance.) This is cheaper than any I was looking at. Some, same year, similar mileage, were over £3k! But, as I said, if anyone's interested, please make an offer!

Part of the problem with selling an SV on here is that most on here have one already or have had one in the past.

That will give you an idea of how many on here will know roughly how much its really worth ;)

Maybe I should change tack then. How would all y'all recommend selling an SV fast? I have about one month before I'm on a single to America! :smt119

See http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=145396&highlight=annoyed

i.e. I recommend ebay auction (with no reserve) describe it & photo it as best you can. e.g. the photo you have here looks like something has fallen off the bike - so take the chain off to photo it.
And bigger photos to so you can actually see the bike - are you selling the tree as well? if not why is it in the photo?

selling in london is irrelevant a bike/car has a price i,e what its worth the fact its in london doesnt change this if your going to sell it quick it will have to come in under £1500.

I sold my friends 2005 pointy which had loads of extras. This bike was mint. Sold it for £1800
Think you may need to drop your price..

Put it on Ebay for £1400...seven day auction with no reserve and also on Bike Trader for £1700 ONO.

As Stu said, give it a frigging good wash and take LOTS of pics...not from 2 miles away either ;) . Take pics of any scratches. Gives folks more confidence to spend time, coming to have a look at the bike and secondly, less chance of someone moaning about that pin head sized scratch you didn't mention lol.

Oh, and don't go mentioning that you need to sell in a months time, because you are leaving the country. Everyone loves a bargain but saying that, is just leaving yourself open for a major pish take ;)

Good luck

Cheers
Ben

So where have you been all this time, musikia?

Another first time poster seller. I know that opinions vary on this, some think that someone on here might want to buy, others will think you're taking the pi$$.

lol - Ok, if you want to price it right then stick it on bike trader below the other K3's, so you'd be looking at £1995 top end, and for a quick sale I'd say put it up for 1850. You'll under cut all the pointy's and a really good number of the over priced curvy's (and they are taking the **** with the curvy's on this site that I have no relation to what so ever).

If you had been a longish poster on the site then you may get more interest but being new and at the price you want it's unlikely as the history etc etc isn't know. I'm sure it's appreciated you posted it here first but consider your audience and what you want to get. I sold my K3 in very very mint condition a few years back with loads of extras for 2k (full fairings the lot) on here but I knew it would go to a good home.

My advice would be to price it low and right on bike trader.
