regulator/rectifier same for curvy and pointy?

hello all

i have just found out that i need a new reg/rec and i was wondering if anyone knows if they are the same for all models?

because i have found some off the newer models (mines a 2000) that are cheaper but it will be no good if its not the same

any help?

Only thing that may differ are the connectors & mountings, they all work the same.

I was thinking about this and I only seem to see Curvys with duff reg/recs do Pointys suffer as well?

Curvy & pointy wiring is different, but I think you can still use either. I used a Gixxer one on my curvy when it went, but have got a pointy one ready for when this one packs up :)
