Had a look as i NEED a new set of decent gloves this year, and these look awsome and appear to add a higher level of protection over your standard leather glove.

So ordered a set of the Biomech gloves for delivery when they are released:

good price for what they give as well i thought :)

My new glove purchase this year, and at a similar price was heated gloves ..... (to go with my heated jacket insert) ....

I can not even start to tell you what a difference it makes in this weather, I'm absolutely loving them, and think no more about getting on the bike and going for a ride than I would in the summer ... heaven !!! :-)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy ... and never test the protection !!!

Expensive gloves, hope they'll save your fingers at somepoint or something.
Enjoy!

To be honest I think there are other gloves that are cheaper out there, as equally comfortable, and protection to your hands.

Please feel free to add your review to disprove this though when you get them Neio.

Chavvy but nice :D

I bet you've had a pair of either reebok pump or puma disc in the past too...

I really do need a new pair of gloves, but I am struggling to find anything near as good a fit as my spada ones.

I might look at these though

Aren't these a step forward though?
Knox has a pretty good rep for quality safety gear.
It's not as if he's spent £200 on Dainese gloves.

Look forward to hearing what you think of them Neio

Knox stuff is very good - I use their back protectors, but I've always looked on their stuff as being a bit Volvoish, i.e. clunky and bulky but extremely safe and does what it's meant to.

Those gloves just look a bit too 'busy' for my liking.

I know I like to be lazy, but seriously man, they dont look like they are doing anything!!! Busy pah. :smt023

Know what you mean though, id happily put money on them not being good in typical british summer weather... by that I mean not very wind/waterproof, busy clothing rarely is as ive found out :(

My Held Galaxy full on race gloves are completely bloody useless as far as wind/waterproofing goes, but you don't buy those sort of gloves for that kind of protection; you buy them because they are light, easy to get on with, and give the absolute maximum of protection in the event of a crash. That's why I like gloves with carbon protection, nomex linings on impact points, kangaroo hide and stuff like Stingray skin - nice and light yet very supple and gloves you don't notice you're wearing

I don't really like the look of them, but I certainly wouldn't criticise someone for buying something that's going to protect their hands - it's probably the first thing that'll hit the ground and if you damage them, well, it will limit you for life. As has been pointed out, Knox have a great reputation.
I must admit, I rather like the look of the BKS made to measure gloves, which I believe are the only bike gloves on the market which are CE certified. But they're expensive, and I've not been able to see some, so don't know if they'd live up to what I'd expect for the money.

BKS are now owned by Frank Thomas. I would rather ride with my hands protected by Corn Flakes boxes than trust anything FT pass off as motorcycling kit. At least I'd know the Corn Flakes boxes were useless, and that I hadn't been hoodwinked by flashy advertising.

i see the points made bout them being chav etc. however they are meant to be a step forward in protection and seem to offer a bit more than cloves a lot more with less armour. i dont want to test them but given the rep of knox and armour protection, i am willing to bet they offer a lot more protection than just leather gloves. the scapoid protector on them could well be worth its weight in gold in an off.

I thought you were going to say somethng along those sorts of lines, but I understood the made-to-measure side of the business was unchanged - same staff etc. :-)

It belongs to Frank Thomas, so I'd trust it as far as I could chuck the Managing Director

As with any safety kit, lets hope you never have to find out how much protection they offer.
