Haha, there is a well known one in Vauxhall (London) called Renaisance Rooms. Everyone goes dressed up in bright clothes (women look seriously HOT) I cant roller skate tho, and I never have been able to!

This is how we went last time and.... it got a bit messy after a whole day of drinking!

boring, every just skates around in a big circle to music. Funny watching people who cant skate though lol

I do have some strange memories of the Electric Ballroom in Camden Town doing roller discos, but the excess of mind altering substances we all used to take may mean I imagined it all.

Depends which session you go to. High Wycombe sports centre has two Rollermania sessions every Friday night - 16:45 to 18:45 is the "family" session and 19:00 to 21:00 is the "disco" session. The former is full of kids with no fear and no sense of direction (you crash into them a lot and they cut you up constantly) and the later session is full of teenagers, not as busy, almost completely dark, and the skating is much faster and more skillful.

Trouble is the later session is often frequented by a balding thirty-eleven year old accountant who drifts around at his own pace hoping his wife and daughter does not realise he's watching the (very fit) female stewards...

Of course I go for the exercise. Honestly.

You go round and round in circles. Then they make you go in the other direction and you fall over.
Last time I went was in 1979 mind.

Mate, just put together the cheapest thing you can find on ebay. Even if its too big or too small for you, the smaller it is, the funnier it looks!

Just nip down a charity shop and get an outrageous shirt with a massive collar and put a 118 118 wig on! Job done, about a fiver! :)

Did they let you drink, or did you turn up hammered? I hear if there are quite a few drunks it is literally carnage!

Wideboy

no they wouldn't let you on the floor drunk and no drinks on the floor, started at a bar before we went but didn't stay there all night
