I know a guy over here that will come to you and he is really good on fitting costs, but, I don't know if he will come over the bridge...
(07816) 339 726, www.homefittyreswales.com or homefitwales@aol.com to contact him, supply, fit and balance with Michelin Pilot Roads was £187.55

I've found protyre to be alright (google them, straight down the 32 come off the junction AFTER Tesco and not far from there), but if you take loose wheels in make sure they have knocked the sproket right in, they ALWAYS manage to **** that bit up, if you're taking the bike in it should be fine cos they'll see it when they re-fit it to the bike.
Decent prices too

the plan is to ride in with the wheels and ride out and let them keep old tyres to do what they want with em.

Give them a bell mate, they really are not too far. Just book in though otherwise you might be waiting around for a while until they have a free slot

I use V-Ten in Thornbury. Very reasonable and good service. You could also try JHS Racing in Keynsham just at the end of the ring road.

Just check your brake caliper bolts if you get JHS to do them..
I nearly had a nasty incident with them... (although in fair play, they did sort it out instantly when I got on to them)

I never touch protyre unless you can get big steve. They screwed up the balancing on my brothers and my uncles bikes. The pubescent who did my brothers stuck car weights on the rims. If steve still works there book with him. He is a big bloke with artwork all up his arms. Gentle giant though.

Roll down the hill on Coldharbor Lane for the bump start. Or if you're in UWE there is the incline past B block that should be good enough with a bit of a jog.

exactly that, used the hill by b block and got a mate who for some reason was still at uni to push me XD, now i gotta hope my battery lasts long enough for my appointment next saturday for my tyres. Anyone know how long front and back tyre change takes, as i gonna have to wait around there.

Pro Tyre do a ride in ride out service so probably 30 minutes tops.
And if the battery doesn’t want to play ball, good news you’re at a garage. They should be able to assist.
So its new reg/rec and battery time for you then...

I've used Protype - v-good service. Also worth trying Morpheus (967 5755) nr Kingswood. Got to be the best bike mechs in Bristol. Paul and Tim there are total belters. I get all my meching done there and I've noticed to do keep a small stock of tyres.

Never rode on new tyres b4, this is gonna be my first. How gentle do you have to be in order not to slip?

Very for the first about 200 miles. Don't do any quick changes of direction on lean angle. Try to lean a bit more ever 20 miles or so, or atleast go slowly, ha ha

Great, i can see me going down like a sack of $hit. So i gotta ride like a grandma and hope i don't die?
I also have to hop on the motorway to get home, stick in left hand lane going really slow i guess?

No, you don't have to go slow if you are upright, just be smooth and safe through the courners.
When I had the new ones on Suzi I was bombing up the A470 at 70mph :-)
Just take it easy on round abouts and sharp corners is all.
The more you ride leant over the more you can lean, you need to get the "sheen" off the tyres

not a big fan of them tbh, i like my belly pan. On the SV i just like the engine on show, looks nicer i think. These Storms best be good, but tbh can't be worse than what i got.

Well, I had some hyper sports tyres on Suzi when I bought her and I never got them warm so they were unsafe for me. I then had some Michilin Pilots and they were great till the lorry...

Storms are the best tyres by far! Storms are grippy even before scrubbing. They don't take long to scrub in either. Best way to scrub is not ride like grandma but not like Rossi's love child either. Just take it at ur own pace building up slowly until they're done. You can feel when they're on their grip limit. Just ride smoothly and just increase the lean angles when you feel comfortable. You will be able to feel when you are pushing it too hard.
