One for a bit of fun, show us a pic of your favourite tool and why it's your fav. (No body parts allowed)

The Laser 1/4 inch Torque wrench on the right, a lovely bit of kit and tbh I don't know how I did anything (apart from guess - wrongly) before I had it.

I've got that exact same torque wrench. Handy for smaller bolts. And I've got a bigger one for doing the wheels and engine bolts.

Don't know if I have a favourite tool though. I'll get back to you on that

Every one has a favourite, something you just couldn't do without or a spanner that has been with you for decades. There is always one, new or old :-)

My trolley jack, the handle doubles as a wheel nut wrench and comes with 17, 19, 22 and 23mm attachments. Saves so much time and hassle of jacking cars up and has also got me out of a sticky situation involving some pikeys and my alloy wheels.

Oh well, I've uploaded to photobucket so I might aswell

My favourite tools:

The Saxonator - As it's cheap to use and provides comedy moments like evacuating building via firealarm and nearly blowing us up by testing a spark plug in a pool of fuel on the engine or late night phone calls asking how to clean an oven cos he's just burnt a pizza to death in his mums BRAND NEW OVEN and if it doesn't get sorted he WOULD

http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j11/Stretchie_/Stuff%20for%20posting/AndySaxon.jpg

The Squirrell - As again it's cheap, a free source of labour and will eat anything if we tell him it's nice, even it's it a clove or something. Oh and it looks GOOD when it wears womens clothes

I have also got a compressed air powered 18g nail gun which if you hold the shoe and fire the thin nails go a fair distance :D

Mountain bike time now. Topeak Alien (http://www.topeak.com/products/Tools/ALiEN_DX), the best bike Multi tool I have ever owned, way better than the old Cooltool I owned before it.

http://www.topeak.com/mediafiles/products/1273/

If you ride a mountain bike and go into the wilds, this thing is a must have for your riding kit. The tools on it are very well made and are almost up to Workshop Quality. I have had mine for ten years or so and the the only thing I have had to do to it is sharpen the blade once.

Second favourite is this.

http://www.swissarmy.com/images/ProductCatalog/vm/vm_53381_sol_a02.jpg

Swiss Army Climber Knife (http://www.swissarmy.com/MultiTools/Pages/Product.aspx?category=outdoor&product=53381).

This little knife has been with me for longer than my Alien, it has seen better days and the red plastic cover has been damaged, but the action on the blade opening is still smooth and the blade is so easy to keep sharp. I have used this knife for everything from cutting Brie on a pick-nick to cutting Aluminium cans to make shims. Always reliable and it lives on my key ring next to my final gadget.

Mountain Safety whistle (http://www.lifesystems.co.uk/psec/mountain_survival/safety_whistle.htm) by Lifesystems. Never had to use it for an emergency thankfully, but I know that it is always with me and will never let me down.

Topeak have always been the dog's thingies. Unfortunately, the price tag matches the quality, but they really are worth their weight in... whatever metal they're made of. :p

Now 1st of all

1) This wasn't my idea, someone else came up with it at Soho last night.

2) This is meant as in "can fix any problem on your bike" type tool, not as in any way insulting :)

3) The pic was the 1st I found on the .org, not the best, but DOES kind of work...

My favourite tool for working on bikes...

I give you the SS-Multitool.

Indeed. This multipurpose bike fixing tool even works under giant plastic sheet, in a muddy field, being rained on, with perhaps a little alcoholic influence at an AR.
