Yes, this isn't citizenship, just permanent residency -so a sticker stating that in my Canadian passport. I can apply for citizenship after another year (I'm pretty sure), and I probably will, but I don't have to give up my Canadian citizenship to do it.

In Alberta it's probably started snowing again by the time the grass gets green. The paycheques may be greener though - in the "large" sense, but definitely not the ecological sense.
