Just watching the old Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie starring Gene Wilder as Wonka. This used to be a childhood fave of mine, but watching it again now, I'm loving how clever the film really is, and the subtle adult humour that your are completely oblivious to as a kid. I hated the new one with Depp.
The same goes when I saw the Mask recently with Jim Carrey. The scene where he's in the street blowing balloons. At one point he dives into his trousers, picks out a used johnny, and says 'oops wrong pocket'. As a 10years old, you think nothing of these things but only now you fully appreciate.
Great watching movies from when you were a kid, and realising that there is a whole other dimension to the movie that you were completely ignorant to.
