I went out to the garage to get some tools earlier, and while I was in there I was looking at my SV, thinking how it looked so sad, forgotten & hooked up to an Oximiser since December :(

Then I noticed how much I had truly forgotten about the bike over winter, when I saw my keys dangling out of the tail unit where they must have been for the last 2 months! #-o

Oops. Something tells me I would have had a hard time explaining that one to the insurance co...

well, it might help put SV's in alower insurance catagory. I mean, the keys are in it and no-body wanted the bloody thing...

Try having left your keys in the ignition to a Gsxr-1000 parked in public in Kings Cross for a day.

Whoops. Do it all the time...

I once left my helmet hanging on my mirror after parking up the bike in Manchester and going to work. I didn't notice until about 2 hours later when I went to get some brekky from the cafe that's opposite the bike bay I use and saw my lid just sat there on my mirror. The thing was, by then I was out of my bike gear, so anyone passing by when I picked it up would probably have thought I was nicking my own helmet!

I spent 3 1/2 years couriering on mine, left it 30-40 times a day in the city centre and surrounds with helmet sitting on the seat, never took the key out in all that time. Maybe thieves aren't interested in SV's or SV lovers are not thievery types.
