For the first time since ever, there is no valentines card waiting for me. I know better than not to get the wife one, as I still carry the scars.

Does she no longer love me? am I going to get some paperwork demanding half my house , earnings and pension rights.

Has she got confused in her old age and given my card to her fancy man?

Advice please. How does one broach the subject without giving them ideas?

Aw Tim, I'm just welling up here. Feel for you mate. *hang on I need a moment to compose myself*

Right, now's your chance to really turn the charm offensive on full blast. Do her tea, take her out tonight. Whisper sweet nothings in her ear.

She'll be so guilty you might even get the TV remote for a full hour!

I was going to say you might get your yoghurt pots emptied but was worried about the U-rating - will delete if needs be.

That's a pyrrhic victory if ever there was one! Just look at the ( lack of ) programmes on tonight.

Jabba, You must be a mind reader as that is exactly what I did. She really appreciated me phoning at 2:30 to open the door that was unlocked when I left. So full yoghurt pots yet again.

Has the girl got no shame, or does she seriously not love me any more
