Just watching the North West news and they have reported that 7 cameras will be put on the cat & fiddle with a speed limit of 50 on them.

Its a very dangerous road when ridden or driven badly on, should we really expect anything less? I for one hate the damn road.

I've never ridden it, but I've not heard anything positive about it.....or at least not in the last few years. My uncle has told me that in the past, it was a brill road, as 30 odd years ago they used to go up there with cars and have a blast with no hassles.

But I understand that now there are just too many bikes and too many idiots on bikes?!?!?!

I had no aspirations to go up there before finding out they were putting speed cameras on it......now even more so.

Its so over rated. Evey time I have been up there its been as foggy as hell at the top, with zero visibility to get in the car park at the pub. The roads aren't particularly fun IMO. Far better roads in my own back yard!

you are not missing anything, its not that a good road, TBH far far better roads to be found in wales.

the myth that its a great road comes from weekend warriors who find it at the limits of their ability out of their few 00 miles a year allowance.

It's ok in a car when going somewhere and you use it as a road but I remember the first time I went over there and every other bend the wall has a whole in it or flowers on it, tells a story really. I hate it on a bike, it's a grave yard not a road.
