View Full Version : Start of LENT tomorrow, what you gonna give up?
Yep! Like it says........
Give something up from now until Easter!
For me, since I am on a diet anyway, I will be giving up any type of chocolate. I have had the odd pack of buttons cos they are only 175 calories so hopefully it won't be too much of a hassle.

good idea Dave....
Afterthought - Not totally though cos that would mean I was dead and that wouldn't be much fun at all......maybe I could just give up conciousness for 7 or 8 hours a night/day (depending on what shift i am working)
I read somewhere today, if we were supposed to be vegetarian, animals wouldn't be made of food.
Makes sense right?
So I figure I might as well give up being vegetarian for lent.

It wouldn't mean you were dead just in a massive sleep/ coma....however I like your compromise

I agree with dave why give up stuff and suffer?!
Also wheres Mrs giggles when you make statements like that dave.
I have given up alcohol*. Honest I have.
Gonna be tough, but I don't want to end up like Andy Powell
* except "necessary alcohol", e.g. poker nights with the lads (once per month) and a bottle of wine as a Friday evening loosener with Mrs Jabba. That's it.
