is it wrong to laugh when the poncy idiots fall over
the reason i ask is cos the wife who watches this carp (go on the first brave barsteward to try and make some dig about me) has looked disapprovingly at me a few times for doing just that, im sorry but if you wish to dress up like a pr1ck and prance around a slippy floor of course im going to think you are a complete knobhead especially if you fail miserably

now i know spidy has a ponchonconce for such things but why should i have to watch grown men in leatards, christ im still trying to get over wideboy in the mankini (my eyes my eyes !!!!!!)

time to find the most manly sport in the winter olympics
ice hockey or womens figure skating

Figure skaters are a pain in the neck. It's because of them that we have to play at either 5.00 in the morning or midnight. You should see them move when we do get on the ice (think 130 ibs in lycra against 210 lbs in full protective gear!)

I used to do figure skating when I was a kid: two years of proper coaching, with a choreographer, a partner
(aged about 9) etc. But I don't watch it on the telly. Too boring.

My wife did figure skating for years and wants to teach our daughter when she's old enough.
But like football, as much as I enjoy participating, I wouldn't want to watch it on TV performed by a bunch of pri-madonnas =p

We have the same issue at our rink.

I'm not against the sport, but then I'm not into doing twirly jumps on ice either.

IMHO.....it is in a human nature (not all, but most) to laugh at the comedic mis-fortune of others.......so laugh away........I do when they fall.

I laugh like a drain when anyone falls over on You've Been Framed. Get a few odd looks from my wife and daughter but who cares!

Best one was me almost wetting myself on the top deck of a bus in Brighton. The local mid-teens were trying to look cool on their skateboards (yes, it was a few years ago) in a precinct we were passing and one fell over trying to jump off a low wall. The blood was poring out of his face and I could not stop laughing. The glares I got from the other passengers were amazing and made me laugh all the more.

If you want to be visible be prepared to have people laugh at you when it goes wrong! If you can't handle it don't let people see you!! Laught away DP.

tbh, I watched it and was rather impressed at how skillful they were on the ice.

But the inner me does smugly smile when they come crashing down.

Just don't want to see it to the women when they are thrown in the air to do triple spins.

This is true.

But with all athletic ladies, they suffer with a major lack of upper footballs (as its a U rated site this ;) ) and that is a shame given the skimpy outfits.

I have to admit to watching all of the winter olympics, just for the falls! And for the men in lycra too!
