I've just had to hang around Bristol Airport as Evie M was due back in, but they diverted her flight to Exeter!! Just as I'd timed the parking perfectly it all went to pot. Drive back wasn't fun either.

Took me 40 minutes to do a 5 minute journey from home to the nursery, about two miles, and that was with abandoning car in a car park half way and walking the last mile. Carried the wee one back to the car on my shoulders. Bloody idiots need to go and live in Norway and learn how to drive. Theres only an inch ffs!

we have just got in.... drew left his work at 4pm... for the 45 mile journey to my work in Quinton (normally takes an hour sitting on the motorway at 60). We left my work at 6pm to do the 5 miles (15 minutes) to our house... got in at half 7!!

We had snow here but it melted. There will be a lot up in the hills in south Shropshire. Now very cold. We left the heat on all day.

I want the hottest summer on record to compensate for this coldness.

Still snowing here. :(

Think I'll be walking to work in the morning, can't expect Pete to drive me in these conditions.

Wev'e got proper snow here too :(

I had a bad run back down the M6 tonight too.

They hadn't gritted it and all 3 lanes were covered in a deep mush.
35mph all the way from Brum... Deep joy!
I had the car slip out on me in the middle lane when some knobber decided to pull out with about 6 foot spare.
The back end swung out and my ar$e bit deep into the seat but all is now good.
Thinking of taking the KTM to work tomorrow if its still bad :D

I have just got in from Driving in the snow. Was at a friends house and the roads were fine, get out to drive home and it's taken me 45mins to do a 5min drive!!! Duall carriageway most of the way which you would expect to be clear n all that but nope. Its the same as my street, covered!!! 15mph all the way!!!
Madness.
Bit concerning though as I have 2 tours going out next week n I need to get some gear down from up north before I can send them out!!!

So it took you 9 times as long ? At 15 mph that makes your ' usual' speed 135mph - respect, Britney! ;)

Mr Speirs
19-02-10, 11:22 AM
Ah blah blah blah. You forget traffic lights, stopping at roundabouts, and the obligitory white van man attempting to get up the hill sideways. :)
So my usual speed is about 134mph with all those taken into consideration puny. :)

It's only about three inches of snow up our way, it's the inch of ice underneath that folk forget about!!Oh and it's a nice warm 4 degrees in our work!!

Cheers

Is that what you call 'em. I took one and it got stuck in my throat, give me a stiff neck for the next couple of hours. I think I'll leave your 'bravery pills' alone next time. ;)

Just to gloat, there is zero snow about and the roads dried up nicely today. :D
