A thought popped into my head today: Does the .org have a facebook group? I've searched and I can't find anything so I guess not. I know there are 3 other groups but none are obviously specific to this forum.

Would a sv650.org facebook group interest anyone? :smt017

Like you, I had a look found nothing. Mind you I spend more time here than there these days so no loss.

Tbh, I can't see the point in Facebook. Period. I keep in touch with the people I want to keep in touch with by telephone, email or, better still, in person. And via here, of course, where the world's nicest people lurk ;-)

Don't get me started on Twitter..... that is the spawn of the Devil. Who the hell wants to know if Billy Bob Thornton has just farted?

I find it quite interesting, I like looking at other peoples photos, of where they have been and what they've been upto. Some of my friends have moved away and keeping in touch with whats going on in their lives is a little easier I find with facebook.

I'm not mad keen on the drivel that some people post the "i've just had a poo" kind of posting. The games on facebook drive me nuts.

Twitter is quite interesting to, when the Tour de france was on last year I signed up and followed some of the riders it was another way to follow the race and get some statements that werent quite so PR based if you get what I mean.

I guess its down to who you add / choose to follow. I've turned alot of the feeds off, sadly some people just post drivel all day, I blame the iphone with the facebook app, it encourages posting cack on facebook. I'm of the opinion that if you have nothing interesting to say then dont post, which is why I'm not a prolific facebooker...

i think fb is a necessary evil, but also a massive waste of time sometimes.

I've been in it for ages, TBH I think we use the FB chat window, each others status's or here to keep in touch.

Never saw the point of facebook, or any other social networking thinky.

Therefore never joined any. So why oh why do some on here say look at my photos and dump them on facebook and you have to join to see them.

Anything but the org, fractures it. Post in one place for all to see.

twitter is one of the worst businesses of all time, apparently not making a single penny depsite its sucess, popularity wise.

Not into maffiafarmwolfvillewars and all the other type crap on there, but good place for photos and keeping in touch with friends that you just may not see like ever!
