there isnt one camp site at Catalunya they use the bits of grass around the circuit, that could mean you are in the middle of a roundabout ...literally, facilities are extremely basic so you have to not mind roughing it in a big way, Donington has luxury facilities in comparison. And if you want sleep at night..forget it!! You just turn up and they'll get you in, camp sites are signed once you get near the circuit. There are proper campsites if you don't mind travelling to the circuit, I know there is one at Mataro.

The "campsite" is pretty big and is a short walk from the town of Montmelo (Where the GP actually takes place....and the location of a lot of late night biking madness)

park your bike with your tent, not seperate like Donington, there are massive bike parks at the circuit, finding your bike can be difficult! but you can walk from a lot of the campsites to the circuit, I can't remember how much exactly it was but I think it cost around 100 euro for 2 of us....see you there but I ain't camping!!! If you haven't been before you have to go into the Montmelo in the evening,
damn i am really excited about going. finish uni for the year on 30th April so warren and i really need to get our camping sorted for each night of the two week trip from Northern Ireland and back :)

If you haven't camped at a Spanish or Italian GP before you just have to rough it and camp at the circuit, its an experience never to be forgotten, and you have to go into the town, I checked out the site in Mataro and they wanted a ridiculous amount of money for the GP weekend, as for the rest of your journey you'll always find somewhere, just search on google for sites on the way down, are you going Cork Roscoff and through France or across to UK and down?, whichever just enjoy it!
We are going to Stranraer and down through the UK! Have lots of campsites in mind, cotsct info and such, just gona start phoning some next week when we finish uni :)!
Shall be an experience we will never forget hopefully!

It will be an experience alright.
Pyrenees + GP Loco-Motos.
Will you be dropping your end-can like 50% of the bike population (Silencerless thursday-sunday) and riding off the limiter night and day for the weekend of the GP?;)
