I'm stunned that the bidding never reached the reserve on the last auction but he's relisted it with no reserve with a starting bid of £2000 a total bargain c'mon who fancies the jump up to a inline 4?
i would love a gixxer 750, i wonder if he will do a swap, is it in good nick?
I was watching that on Ebay, just the sort of thing I am looking for and the reason I put my bike in the for sale section.
Tell hime he doesn't want a Hayabusa for touring, he wants an SV

lol he only wants a busa cos they give him a hard on. He's been looking at some Zx9r's and even the TL1000 I did suggest he looks at the SV1000 but I dont think he's too keen.
I'm tempted to list the pointy get some money for that then buy this 750 but its all come about at the wrong time I'm bloody gutted tbh.

genuinly the best example of a 2000plate bike I've seen. when you put it next to my curvy (same age) it honeslty looks like his has just left the show room an mines just completed the Dakar.
im very interested, i have emailed him, i wonder if he would take part ex, i would also need to restrict it if you know anyone that could do it, only till early sept.
do you think he would mind if i got someone to have a look at it for me, someone who knows the score just for peace of mind.
i would also have to ride it back from up there.

Ere is this Birstall is leicester or birstall near batley?
Owenski

Just spoken to him and he WOULD part ex but only for a Busa or a tl1000r provided its in great cond and with low milage.
He's not interested in a gsxr1000 nor in a R1 he's even ruled out the ZX9R now so unless its a busa or a tl1000r your prob wasting your time asking for the swap.
Coming to see the bike, he'd expect so thats not a problem you can test ride it on a break it and you buy it condition obviously.

Birstall near Batley, same one as Ophic lives in.
YC as your local its head along huddersfield road going up to the showcase cinema, at the old wines and spirt vaults pub turn right into Brookroyd Lane and he lives along there.
its a fair old way from way, 270 miles, but im sure it would be an interesting ride home. technically i wouldnt need insurance as long as it is restricted as mine covers me to ride other bikes.

I bet you a quid that policy does NOT cover you if you own the bike.
the policyholder may also drive a motorcycle not belonging to him/her and not hired to him/her under a hire purchase or leasing agreement
yeah thats right forgot about that. so i would need to sort insurance before i got there then or what if he signed it over and dated it the day after i rode it back. guess i could look in to having it transported down here.

Or you dont fill the forms in until you get the bike home/get him to post the V5 down to you.
but I cant condone that cos plod might take the bike off you if you get pulled for any even minor offence.

Like no insurance if current owner does not have a policy on it. It will flag up on ANPR if not (ANPR work on bikes?)

Ah right you mean ihe cancels his policy once Mej agrees to buy it, I get it.
Yeah, then you'd be feck'd lol

It's still a risk, you're not going to test ride a bike 270 miles are you. Unless he's prepared to say "he's a mate and needs a bike so I lending it him for a few weeks". Obviously pay cash. But in the event of an incident turning over a V5 with the "mate who's borrowing it" name signed over would look dodgy!

Well Im glad you dint word it like that when I picked up the pointy. ;)

You might be able to borrow it for a week while the cheque clears. But that requires a certain degree of trust on both sides.

sounds like they trust each other, I've just had a txt sayin Mej has agreed to buy it.

Quote for me was £34 - same price as a van (which you don't need to restrict ;))
got be 25 for that so im out of the question there.
What is the best way to transport a bike????
yorkie_chris

A van is easiest. Something like a merc sprinter with a low bed height.

or a 7.5 toner with a lift on the back :P thats how i got the quad home

A mate who doesn't have restricted insurance
I'm pretty sure you'd have to be 25 to hire a van as well.

Find someone on the org who'll ride it back for you. Drive 'em there and insure them for a week (in case of foul-ups).
shes so pretty!!!!:smt049

YOu collected her then?
yes mate, havent really ridden it yet cause of insurance and the 33bhp which im def gonna get rid of now.
managed to get a van in the end only had to be 21, £80 + about £90 in fuel.
so once that is sorted ill be home free.
did a couple of miles on a private rd, position is very strange compared to the SV so i just need to get used to it.
Put the micron back on sounds awesome now.
