Well hello people..............
Just quick hi to be honest been a forum member for maybe 2 -3 months now passed my Bike test on Monday this week In Leicester then moved to Newcastle for a few Days after quiting my job... and now it looks like there could be a VERY good chance I am moving to Surrey (Okley little village between Dorking and Rigate)... Have already done a working Interview and am Meeting with the Company Chairman on Monday at 11.30... Just really wondering how active the members are down there lol... I lived in Esher for 3 years but left Last Febuary..... And have friends down there but none off them have bikes .... so some biker buds to share a good ride with me now and again wouldnt go a miss.....

Hi Dave
You'll have lots of interesting back roads right off the main street in Ockley around Leith Hill and heading west past Cranleigh, Dunsfold and over towards Haslemere. Also, you're only a stone's throw from Newlands Corner which is a pleasant stop off for a cuppa and burger. You get a fair few bikes up there.
Bury Hill's another bike stop that's straight down the A29 from Ockley. Not the most interesting of rides getting there but some good side routes to explore.
Check out the Thames Valley and Soho sections for rides that sometimes meet round here too. TonyK's always posting up dates.

Dave
I'm in SW surrey which has some nice country lanes, be careful at the moment though coz we've turned into pothole central :smt040

Yeah what is it with Surrey CC? The instant you go past 'welcome to Surrey' the 281 turns to ****e
Its wierd, I'm 4 miles from sussex on the 283, when you cross the boarder its like crossing into a different country, one with tarmac :-)
Hi Chiefums & Nij, (I used to live in Wormley). Great to see all these new people, so how come we can't run a GM meet for lack of interest? :???:

Did I read that right? Are you going for a job in the pub? If so, which one. Ockley is funny - 3 pubs along the one road that runs through it if I remember right.
Sounds good, is that Inn on the green?
The 2 key words in this forum seem to be PUB and PIES...........I like you crazy people :-)

Nice one, good luck Dave.
If you can undercut the Keystone and get 2 pie meals for 9 quid on the menu, we'll have to revise the venue for the GM meets!
Don't you get accommodation at the pub as head chef? Bummer.
Don't suppose Ockley itself is great for rental prices.
What's you situation? Single, married, kids? Broadbridge Heath usually has a fair few one bed places for reasonable money and is near to Horsham town centre. Or maybe even look at Horsham itself.
