Directline were pretty good for my ex when she passed at 17 think she paid £900 fully comp on a 2000ish corsa.

Just get ringing, tis the only way to know you've got the best price.

Try out H&R Insurance, they are a broker firm. They have just started car insurance. My bike insurance came up as the cheapest I could find. Hopefully they are cheap on cars to!

TBH, I was a little young when I had her but struggled through and got my own flat, full-time job, etc. Eventually did it properly with the marriage and the 2 kids hence they are only 5 and 8.

Gavin has met her ;)

Well done on her passing her test.

When's she doing her bike license?

Insurance for young folk is criminal, I'm sure 5 times the cost of insurance, is not representative of the extra risk.

It's a good day today :-)

She's not interested in the bike licence, which is OK with me. I think the best thing is to buy a cheap car and bite the bullet with the insurance. Nows not the time to put money into a nice car and the insurance will only be £90 a month, the car will be paid in full.

It will give her the experience in driving while getting the no claims discount to use for a better car later.

Along with not crashing it... :)
