View Full Version : Selling an Sv, revert to standard or sell it with the add ons?
HI All
I might be selling my SV soon. Not sure what’s the best way to do this. Should I sell it with the suspension upgrades and race can and BMC etc or revert it to standard and sell the bits separately? Which way would net me more cash?
Thanks.
Standard 100%
You'll never make the money back on parts that are on the bike.
I wish I had sold mine standard.

Depends how much its been modified, if only mildly then revert to standard. If its a lot of grief/work or lots of mods then leave them.

Standard...
By the way, there is someone looking for .90 front springs ...have a look in 'wanted' section ;)
Cheers

When I decide to sell the Black SV, I won't be taking stuff off to sell seperately. It was bought like that, and it will be sold like that.
Besides why be stuck with stuff hanging around your house, that you have no use for once the bike has been sold. I know you can make money from it but personally I can't be assed with it.

I wanted 2600 for mine with extra and had a few people ring up but no-one looked. I explained all the extra stuff on it and no-one cared/knew what I was opn about (typically had just passed their DAS).
In the end, I stripped it down and sold the bike for 2200 and mods for 500 so worked out much better!
Thanks for the replies. I'll put it back to standard spec. :)
