Yep, my horn is down

Haven't bothered looking at it cos I couldn't miss an opportunity to use that line :winner:

Seriously though wheres the horn located so I can fiddle with the wiring and see if its just a loose connection.

On the sv I think it's just in front or behind the radiator, can have a look this weekend if you like?

Yep, you can see it under the headlight ....

Check the fuse .....check the wiring is still attached ..... get a bit of WD-40 under the switch .......... or if like me when my horn stopped working ...... change the wiring that looked like it had been nibbled by mice !!!! :-)

Curvy is just in front of the rad behind the headstock, not sure about pointy.

Normally its just manky, try cleaning and fiddling with the little screw on it.

Sometimes the pointy horn cuts out when the bike is hot, but comes back when cooled down. If that's not the case then ^^^^^^

As your sat on the bike left hand side behind the radiator, it may just not be plugged in especially if the rad has been dropped, i tend to forget to plug mine back in after dropping the radiator

Try it before you start the bike when the engine is cold, but the ignition is on, and tell us if it still isn't working.

Usually its the contacts that have gone green that stop it working.
Mine sounds like an ill sheep at the best of times, but I forget to clean it up. I do when its MOT time though.

And then jump because its a damn sight louder than with earplugs in and a helmet on. :) Well that's what I do anyway!

I gave mine a tap with a screwdriver and it fixed it :-) Put a bit of wd40 on it and its been fine ever since. Sometimes when the engine gets very hot the metal inside the horn expands and it stops it working.

I fixed something on my bike ..... I am officially amazing.:riding::takeabow:

Thanks Hold-Up looking where you said and was quite obvious that one of the leads had come of. Got my hand in there and bingo back on again and working.

Could be the ideal time to get yourself a Stebel Nautilus!
