Right, I changed the chain and sprockets on my bike yesterday. I put it all back together and it seems fine. However, my battery is flat so I couldn't start it. I went to bump start it, so put the bike in 4th gear, and got someone to push me down the road, but the bike moves fine with the clutch out in 4th. It was fine before I did them, but not now. What could I have done/what should I look at?

How should I adjust it so that it is right? Is there a specific way that it should be set and it'll be roughly there?

Sounds like you fitted the spring retaining plate on the opposite side of the worm drive to what it was before.

As with any problem that manifests itself after you've just done some work - check you put it back together right.
Assuming you did then adjust the clutch, properly, not just the cable.

OK, so a new issue has appeared. I have refitted the spring retaining plate on the other side of the worm drive like YC said. It sorted the issue of it moving with the bike in gear, but now the wheel spins fine in neutral as it should. But when it is in gear, you can move it slightly like normal, but if you push it harder it will still spin, albeit slowly. This is exactly the same whether the clutch is in or not.
Any more ideas?
