Hi guys and gals,
who knows anything about garage plots ?
my house has a car park at the end of the road which our street all has a "plot" there are 8 in total but when i looked at the plans it doesnt have the size of the plot is there a standard size ???? how do i go about finding out what size garage i can build ???

It's a scale plan (although the warning on it does say its a photocopy and so "liable to distortion in scale"), measure it.

old plan that one, what is on the land at the moment, are there other garages built?
might be best to have a word with the council.
This might help, although its seems yours is a stand alone plot rather than a outbuilding/garage so you would you'll need planning permission.

The Medtric Handbook for Architects will give you required sizes for garages, I will dig it out when I get home.

Required sizes are at least 20ft x 30ft ;)

20ft x 30ft does not compute fastdruid, needs to be metric :p

6m x 9m[1] :)
For some strange reason though planners don't seem to have this as the required standard.
