The original 125 was definitely 7 speed, always wanted one looked just like a 74/916. This new one looks like a mini 1098 with a hint of Desmosedici

They came in 6 and 7 geared variants.
Fun bikes :)
I very nearly started building a 350LC version but thought better of it!

Reminds me of a story when I was training a few years ago.
A lad turned up on a de restricted (we didnt know at the time) Mito to do his CBT. He was struggling like mad on the road ride with the bike just not wanting to be ridden at all. It coughed & spluttered, cut out & all sorts, so I asked him if I could give it a try to see what was up.
The thing was as flat as a fart at the bottom end, but when the needle crept up to the top end it went like a bat out of hell, it would have been ace on the track, but totally unusable on the road.
Had its rewards sometimes being an Instructor. One day I might tell you about the race prepared Aerox that a 16 year old turned up on. I took it for a ride & it went off the clock, but thats another story lol
