Well, when you soom out, you see the other birds and people walking across the end of the street. When you zoom out again...no UPS truck, no people walking across the junction.

When they done the google maps, they had to retake some of the pictures in certain places due to reasons that were, wierd, but then stich them to the original format. I reckon that if you could see the the date and time of the successive photos, they would be different. My car is parked out side my house and my mums at the same time!

Move up and down the road, there are loads of seagulls about. The bit of wing inside the building is cos the camera takes lots of pictures in quick succession, and then these are stitched together to create the image. So you've either got a slight time delay in one frame, or the stitching software couldn't match the seagull and the building, so poor Mr Seagull got his wing chopped off.

There's other artifacts, like car bumpers not attached to cars in a variety of places.

You can see the edge of his wing slightly lower than it should be, on top of the silver van. So there must only be a fraction of a second delay between frames.

So....is anyone else getting the bit of wing that's seemingly inside the building?lots of anomalies like that on Street view, it's where the join between the two images from the fish-eye lenses are stitched together, if the objects are close then the edges don't line up well.

And your zooming theory? It all works for me. Try moving down the street and panning back, you can see the gulls. I can move down the street to the UPS van. You also have to remember that not all images of a street are taken at the same time, but may be weeks apart if the recording route was odd.
