Am really pleased with myself today. Was home earlier than expected and as the weather was so nice I decided to go for a litttle ride on my bike :)
Got stuck in a huge Q of traffic and normally sit there moving in the same Q as the cars as have not been confident to filter unless I am following another biker. Well today I went for it and filtered all on my own :) I cannot believe I managed it :) My biking confidence is growing a bit more now. Was good to be on the bike again :)
Well done!!! Great feeling to be able to take control and go for it. No stopping you now!!!
Cool, good for you. Does feel good when you can get round all that traffic. I tend to give it plenty of revs so everyone can hear you coming.

Excellent stuff :D Remember you can always just pull in any time, theres no rush :)
I remmber the first time i decided to filter on my SV, i was a bit nervous but the more you do it, the more comfortable you become and the more relaxed you are, so you are able to spot dangers more
Keep up the steady progress :D
Ooo, amanda said keeping revs up - thats good, also dont be afraid to use your horn to alert drivers to your presence :D

Ooooo.... good stuff. Just watch out for the crazy cagers (like me).

yup, well done mate :)
just keep your wits about you when doing it, cars have a nasty habit of changing lanes without looking.
if someone is behind you filtering too, don't feel pressured to go too fast, just do your own thing and pull into a slot to let them past as soon as it is safe.

Well done Storm.=D>
As has already been said, always exercise extra caution as road users will change lanes or veer over without warning. Great feeling though, when you get to the head of the queue and are able to blast off.

Nice work!
=D>........watch out for passengers leaping out of cars, they never look, and don't take any risks if these:plod:are about:)

Thanks Everyone. My confidence is growing quiet alot on the bike now but I am being very careful to make sure I look and plan ahead and dont go over my own ability.
Even took the bike into work today as the weather was so nice this morning :p

My bike still has a standard can and I did give plenty of revs and was very alert to the other road users watching every single one ahead just incase they changed lanes. Think however that maybe a loader can would help .....hmmmmmm :)

Yip was in no rush at all and took it really easy making sure I had enough room along the way.

Thankfully Kieth I know what car you drive ;)
I will be sure to keep a very good distance away from you if I ever see you on the roads

Well maybe not soon. Need a lot more practice :)
Well done SVStorm.=D>

Thanks Pete. I probably do owe alot of my confidence to you and Lissa as you guys have always been great on a ride out and given me lots of room and tips and help along the way. THANKS!!!!!:smt023

Yip, kept looking at cars tires for any sign of movement to change lanes, drivers who were not paying attention and good observation infront and behind me. All were very well behaved, with some even moving over a bit more to give me more room(although I had plenty)
I also spotted a bike behind me filtering going a bit faster than me so I pulled into a slot and let him pass :)

It was a dual carriageway and I went up the middle so no passengers decided to jump out of the slowly moving cars :) I am always on the lookout for these :plod:. Those who have ridden with me will probably say I am a bit too over cautious so no risks here :)
