How long should I take it easy for? It is a BT016 Battlax

Couple of heat cycles. It's all about feel really - just build up to it.

1 hard progressive ride. I had a pair fitted last spring at work an they were worn in on the 15 mile journey home. Was a bit warmer though I guess.

I just ride gingerly and build up the lean bit by bit, checking the tyre regularly. You can tell a lot from what it feels like, I'm sure heat cycles have something to do with it but I'm happy based on the surface of it myself. I just check to see it looks and feels similar to a normal 'used' tyre (although the surface in general looks a bit tidier than a proper 'used' tyre).

Mileage is not the important factor, a new tyre will be quite shiny and sheer all over the surface, and a used tyre will be dull and will feel, by comparison, quite rough, look at your other tyre, (if it's scrubbed that is), when your new tyre is scrubbed it will look and feel the same.

Or half a lap of the 'Ring ;)
Or, on a warm day, the trip between Essential Rubber and my house.
