Replaced the rear bearings. SV 650 K4

Sprocket bearing was buggerred, roller cage totally collapsed but still with most the of the balls inside.

It all came out as it should no nasty marks on the inner housing bores etc. Bearing replacement was via a firm push fit with mallet tap to secure in housing.

I had had to source the seal from a different supplier. It was a loose fit in the housing and a tight (ish) fit on the spacer ring clamping the bearing inner race.

As a result the seal does not spin with the wheel and just works its way out.

I have ordered a new seal.

Anyone heard of this before? Am wondering if I was supplied a similar but actually incorrect part.

Belay that..hairline crack on bearing housing has been located.............
