Over the bad weather a few months ago my car window got frozen in place unknown to me... I tried to open it, and hey presto, a broken window mechanism.
(The window came out of the tracks, and in the process of stuff moving about inside without being attached, part of the mechansim itself got bent.)
Since then, I've taken my door apart, fixed the mechanism (straighted the bent bits) and all was fine and tandy.
However, every so often (probably 1 in 4 times) the window now comes out of the tracks, and I have to take the door apart to put it back in place.
There's two u-shaped clips that the window sits in, and what seems to be happening is that the window is being pulled down by the clip on the left, but not the one on the right (you can see the window being pulled down at a funny angle), and causing it to come out of the clip on the right.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what would keep the window in the clip properly?
At present the only thing I can think of is maybe something like silicon? Or 'No-Nails' type stuff?
(For reference, it's a Toyota Yaris: the older model, with an electric window)
