You lot are very good....... but Biggles is closest :-)

She's a Standard Poodle, pedigree and not crossed with anything. Picked her up today. Her mother is a lovely, friendly pooch so hopefully she will be too.

Nice one, i had a black standard and he was huge. He looked fantastic until the day the ex missus had his hair cut with the pom poms etc poor dog was just never the same after that.

We decided not to give her the same name as anyone we know in case offence was taken ;-)

And if we called her Mandy then folks might think we'd named her after Peter Mandelson. And that would be cruel :-)

We had 2 toy poodles called Mickey and Simba. They looked good with the "Lion" cut. Great temperaments and lovely dogs to train.

Was joking bout the name thing ;)

Yeah...... managed to spot that one ;-)

Got some sleep but woken up a couple of time coz she wanted to go out. 6 weeks old and nearly pretty-much housetrained* :-D

Yup, she's dead cute and playful, even if her playful period was at 4:00am

* unlike her owner, some might say ;-)

Read back a few posts, my dear girl ;-)

Pedigree Standard (i.e. BIG!) Poodle. Gonna be a pet and deffo not for show, so no stupid haircuts (sorry Amanda, but I ain't taking a manicured hedge for a walk ) and lots of walks in the park, swims in the River Taff, etc.

But first she's having a bath...... smells like the farm we got her from

Thanks everyone

Awwwww!

Even if you don't go for the stupid hairdo thing, a friend of mine has one and it does need trimming every now and again otherwise it gets very matted and stinks.
