Anyone got a car hard drive player? Don't actually know if that's the right name for them. But I want something that I can stick all my music on then forget about cd's.
Recommendations please :p

I've got a head unit with a USB port on the front in one car and the other has a USB lead coming out of the back, so you can connect a USB stick or and Mp3 player into it.
My MP3 has 20Gb, so more than enough storage
The other car has a USB stick connected to the lead routed into the glove box.

Would the cd players that have usb connections work with an external hard drive?

Yep, CD player doesn't get used much.
Not what you're after?
I did have hard drive thingy, but I can't remembrer the make and I never fitted it.
Mine has an SD card slot, CD player which plays mp3s, USB port and bluetooth. So I can play anything from pretty much anywhere. The radio is rubbish though. It's got a 16GB SD card plugged in, and I rarely ever use anything else.
It's this one:

I bought it from there too - cheapest I could find, but the first unit was faulty and had to go back, and the customer service from that place was utterly dire. I had to threaten them with small claims court before they would send me a replacement unit.

Mine is similar, although doesn't have the bluetooth. It was £49 from Aldi!
The other is a Kenwood from Halfrauds, but with out the SD card slot
The one from Aldi is as good as the Kenwood, if not better
I have a stereo with a SD and USB connector knocking about somewhere. I haven't used it since I sold my car over a year ago.
You can buy it off me if you like, £40 + P&P
It's made by H&B, not sure of the exact model but I will check it out if you are interested.
It may be this one

Does it display the track title?
Does it display the track title?
Yes it does.

Does it pause slightly between tracks? Mine does and it's really annoying on an album where the tracks are merged together.
And do you have to take out the card/usb stick when you remove the face?
The SD card slot is seperate to the face plate so you can leave that in. Not sure about the tracks gap though. Probably does leave a gap though, most MP3 players do.
Just found the origional invoice from when I bought it. It's definitely the H & B CA-5555i.
