NOW SOLD
Here is my SV1000S K3 first registered 1st April 2004.
I've owned it for a little over a year in which time I have spent about £800 on it and done about 1,000 miles.
The previous owner had the clip ons replaced with more upright Renthal bars and an LSL top yoke conversion plus braided brake hoses.
I have added to the comfort by having a gel pad put into the seat by Viking Vinyl (www.vikingvinyl.co.uk (http://www.vikingvinyl.co.uk)) which was a great improvement. Also a black double bubble screen for a different look. I have the original clear screen should you prefer the OEM look. There is also a Scott Oiler for practicality.
Showing 31,357 miles there are a few marks here and there but nothing dramatic - a stone chip on the tank, the heel guards have marks from boots, both end cans have a couple of scratches.
To my knowledge it has never been "down the road" or dropped.
The last service was at the end of April 2009 and was a MAJOR one. Plus two Pirelli Diablo Rosso tyres which are barely scrubbed in.
Taxed until end of August 2010 and only in need of an oil change and a new MOT ticket (will sail through) at the end of April this is a very tidy, very practical and comfortable example.
Datatool Alarm to keep the villains and insurance premiums at bay. Complete with Certificate of Installation.
If you have got this far you will know that the engine is a peach and can certainly hustle along with the best of them - although that wasn't really my style.
