You do know this a Suzuki Sv650 and gladius forum, you be better off asking them on http://www.ducatisti.co.uk/forum/ducati-monster-696/
Depends what you mean by 'chipped'
was this done by a dealer or have you bought a 'chip' off eBay?
It sounds to me like either you ecu has gone into limp home mod, or dealer dealer have downloaded the wrong map onto your ecu after fitting the termi's

Refit the original parts - does the problem go away? If yes then, (most probably), the chip is wrong for your bike, or one of the cheap and nasty 'richen everything' con articles - which outnumber that ones that actually work by a considerable ratio.

hello bud im the guy from the bar who put you onto here
here is a few thing to help with his description
all mods were done from brand new by dealer on a new bike
as said it only hits 8500rpm and tops out at 120
i was thinking it may be a ristictor kit fitted via ecu
so back to you lot

How much faster was it before? Monster I rode barely had enough puff to break speed limit :-P
Is it definitely when you had this new map installed that problems began? What manner of chip is it?

Good morning.
For all Ducati information you should try Neil at Cornerspeed. He may be able to point you in the right direction. His number is; 01623 758877.
Cheers.
If it's a brand new bike it may be restricted until the first service.
Simple answer is take it back to the dealer with your concerns.
Welcome to the forum though, there is a few dukes on here now.
