Hi,

Got the chance to buy 2nd hand hugger but does not come with any fixings..my Q is what are the required fixings?

From what I can remember my hugger didn't either, you just use the chain guard fixings.

Probably depends upon the make entirely. What are you fitting it to, and are you able to find out the brand? My Puig on my Curvy used the original chain guard screws but had a special bracket to fit around the rear brake line on the right side.

You should be able to use the std fixings (for chain guard etc...), but u may need to buy a longer bolt for the brake hose mount. It should cost about £1 for a couple of stainless bolts.

Also, double and triple to check it ain't rubbing anywhere on your tyre.
Can remember a few times we swore blind mine was fine, and it kept rubbing. Ended up jacking the brake mount side with washers to stop it!

Mine did this and also vibrated the brake hose clip lose and scratched the swingarm up.
I cut a piece of rubber car matt and placed it between the hugger and swingarm to allow clearance and to cushion the vibration to stop the bolt becoming lose again.

To use standard shoulder bolts on my redfox one i had to put washers behind to take up the thickness difference.
