Wrong by about 800-900 quid I reckon!!
Bargain - there was a more expensive one in J&S a couple of weeks ago, but that was the more desirable blue curvy S :p
down here prolly go for 1200 quid looks in very good clean condition but you could get a mint pointy for that with same mileage
here parkers recommendation

The tragic thing is that some unsuspecting noob will come along and pay it :-(
Was offered £1200 trade in for mine (2000, 37k) and was delighted. Unfortunately it didnt happen cos i hadnt got any more £££s to put towards it, and i dont think the guy was gonna let me have a new CBR600RR for £1200. Cant imagine why!!
been offered 2300 for my k5 lot of places would only off 2100 cause its a naked

Conways has always been a bit pricey.

I'd want 2 bikes for that money, or pay me a grand to take a curvy off their hands

Ha, i saw a 02 today at the rocket center, it was £2800 and it wasn't even gold plated.
Conways is expensive full stop. I bought my first bike there - a 1992 GS500 (back in 2003) for £1200. It was overpriced without a doubt, but at the time I didnt know a lot about it all and just wanted to get on 2 wheels. I look at their prices now and they're way to high. He is a hard man to barter with also so cant see how he makes a sale.
I'm no expert but there's a bike on this very site for sale which I'm sure is a more than a little overpriced.

These prices are very optimistic. I know the bike I'm looking at on Weds is priced at just short of 3k, and for 1000cc worth of vtwin, with 8.5k on the clock in a dealers its strange for it not to be priced slightly more.
Obviously if I can haggle it'll be a steal!!
Compared to these curvies here, it looks like I'll be rubbing my hands with glee, but I'm still scratching my head as to how much to start the ball rolling at, to sell mine. Obviously you try to get as much as you can get, but you really have to do it without seeming greedy or indeeed cheeky.
What you looking at Dizzy?

I actually went and looked at that bike Conways it wasn't worth the asking, when a went and had a look he had a 2000 model in yellow with 3k on it for the same price!
Guess where my money went!
M&S ain't much better atm wanting 2,500 for a 2001 with 35k on it
Plenty of overpriced (or should that be "dealer priced") bikes out there - here is a naked curvy up the road from me...

That is a good example. Here is another
1. The SV is a 'starter' big bike. Most likely people buying them have limited experience of true costs and just see the big bike going cheap.
2. It's the start of the biker season. The demand for motorcycles is higher at the moment which makes it more easier to get a higher price anyway.
3. Somebody will buy it sooner or later.
