View Full Version : M25 advice
I'm going on a course tomorrow in Hatfield so I'll be negotiating the M25. Need to be in Hatfield by 9am, I'll be joining the M25 at the M3 junction then leaving at the A1(M) junction. Any ideas on how long the M25 bit of my journey will take on a Monday morning and if the A1(M) gets busy?
Google says whole journey will take 1hr 45mins, somehow I doubt that!
Cheers

Silly question I know but you don't say weather you using the bike or car? I'm guessing bike?
Car or bike?
On a good day about 45 minutes ish.
Can't really predict the m25, can get congested around heathrow a couple of junctions from the m3, and again towards the a1m.

Bear in mind you'll be going through the variable speed bit between the M4 and M40, and there's also a lot of construction where they're widening the road, so it will be quite busy.
Oh sorry. I'm in a car. Google says 1hr 45mins from Stonehenge to Hatfield. I thought if I leave about 2hrs 45mins for the journey and aim to be there for 8.30am that should be enough time?
Would mean I'll hit the M25 around 6.45am ish so I'm hoping it may be a bit quieter around then?
Its the school holidays still should help a little
I do from J4 to J12, on a good day in about an hour (ourside the rush hour)
If you need to be there by 9am, You need to add a fair bit more time, if I leave home at 8, it takes me an extra 45mins to get to work.
In short, allow at least an hour, maybe an hour and a half (if there are no accidents on the m25).
