View Full Version : New job
'General Useful Bloke Who Does Everything' is my unofficial title until
we decide what my official one is. Basically the owner of Supamoto Kawasaki in Kempston, Bedford, who is a close friend, approached me and asked me to take his place in the shop and workshop while he gets on with actually running and building the business from the backroom. So I'll mainly be selling bikes, kit and parts, but also working on the tools in the workshop and doing a bit of everyone's job and making myself indispensible as usual.
So, if you're in the area, come and say hello. There's a good coffee lounge inside the premises too.

How bizarre is that! I was just reading a copy of 'Bedfordshire Biker' that i got given yesterday from Phil at Bedford Wheels (who does my tyres and got my new battery for me), and theres a 2 page ad for Supamoto and i thought i'd pop over and have a look soon.
I guess now i'll have to!! :p
Congratulations on the new job :)
Blimey Kelly, Phil's place is a long way for you to go to get tyres. He is good though cos he does the full service, inc getting the wheels out and back in. Did you check out his new bike? A brand new Z1000 that he picked up last weekend, from guess where :-)
Thanks, and to VT as well

It's his business, if he wants to sleep at work he's only answerable to himself.

Always good to have a job which guarantees you somewhere to lie down, I reckon.
Well done Lozzo - hope you enjoy. When the weather gets even warmer I'll come round for a cuppa.

I look forward to it. I had an orger I'd never met before come in today, who walked out of the shop with a brochure and price on his new bike - lets hope he comes back and rides off on it. He didn't have time for a cuppa, was too busy talking himself into buying his new toy.

It sure is. I wasn't relishing the prospect of being out of work long term again, as I remembered how boring it was last time. When Pete approached me I was only too happy to listen to his proposal. So far I've only one two days, but already feel like I've slotted into my place there.

An Orger buying a Kwak? Shame on him. You should have sent him to the nearest Triumph dealership.

It's too far away from here for me to give directions, anyway, it's a lovely black Kwak, so it must be good

Black bikes are always good. Maybe not as fast as yellow, but definitely stealthier.

Yellow only looks good on curvy SV650S's, FS1Es and RD400s... and Vauxhall Magnum 2300 Coupes (only because I've owned an example of the last three in that list)

Early shape 750 and 900SS only
It doesn't look right on the 916 shaped bikes or the ST range

About 400 quid cheaper in fact, lot of bike for the money.

I'll be seeing you soon then. I may well give you a call about a demo ride on Friday when I'm back at work - it appears one can be arranged under certain circumtances.
