View Full Version : K1 sv650s cgb
Selling up the SV now that it's running properly again. Enjoying the hornet too much to sell it on, and I can only afford to keep one bike.
K1 SVS on an 02 plate:
Approx. 32000 miles on the clocks, but unknown mileage on the engine. Probably lower than 32k given that I gather it hadn't been used in a while.
Hagon progressive front springs
ZX6 rear shock
Datatool S3 alarm
Hugger with shock-guard that extends below the swingarm
Fender Extender
Pyramid undertray
Down 1 tooth on front sprocket, which was new about 1000 miles ago
Chain approx. 50% of the way down the wear adjusters
Rear sprocket has loads of life left
Has 1 piece of Bikedolph faring :D
Double bubble screen
T+T'd till November
Has recently had a full service - all valve clearances adjusted, and the front cylinder had the cam-chain and cam-chain blade changed over. I'm going to see if I can get a printout of all the work I've had done on it at the local shop since I've owned it, but I've been doing nearly all the maintenance for it for the last year or so.
Looking for £1100

Note: It's still missing a few bits on the picture as it's not fully back together yet, but is getting bits bolted back on every day.

Part of that will be due to the smaller f/sprocket.
It would be if the chain hadn't been on for 15000 miles...
Registering some interest in this, although only mild at the minute. ;)
Has the seat been lowered, or bars raised. The bars look really high compared to the seat...
Nope, not lowered, no higher bars. If anything I think the rear's very slightly higher on account of the ZX6 shock. Could be a trick of perspective given that it's on full left lock and you're staring down the bar-end. Either that, or maybe because the grab rail's not been put back on yet. I dunno ;)
Any chance of a test ride Neej my old mucka?
I could bimble up someday on the current knackered curvy.
Just under 80 miles from mine...

Its because the steering lock is on full. Optical illusion.

It's uninsured at the moment, but if you've got cover, then that's dandy...although there's a small residential carpark behind my house that you can whiz it around on a bit. I'm off work all this week so any time should be good if you're thinking soonish ;)

I have got insurance, but not sure if you need to be insured in order to make me insured, if that makes sense. I'll have to check with my insurers. I would dearly love to take it for a decent blast if possible.
I can pop up whenever you fancy. Tommorrow even, or if not Wednesday, otherwise it'll have to wait till the weekend...

Not quite a mid-week rideout, Puny, but then Binky always was a bit slow! :p

I guarantee you'll never see it looking like that again Neeja. :smt009
If it's dry I'll come.
You need to love this one Binky, the occasional soap and bucket etc.
What you doing with your old one?
I vote strip it down to bare essentials and use it as a track bike. The main problem is electrics isn't it? And you can get rid of 95% of them, fit your white fairing.... Job done.

He'll probably bring it back for me to valet at some point :)
He has to at least keep the front RHS panel clean...Bikedolph must look good, even in component parts :D
Nah, that's going into the for sale section depending on the success of my bodge paint job.
I'll get bare monies for those bad boys where as i'll have to pay someone to take my current fairings off me... ;)
