Email Marketing Fail

Got an Email on my Iphone (taken from my Gmail), and with the default preview function it showed up as:

From: Interflora
Eden,
Your mum

0_o
Now THAT'S not going to entice me to buy flowers is it! flowery language maybe, or for their funeral after I murder them all!!
The full mail was some generic greeting card blurb your mum gave you life etc etc etc but man, check your email for how it displays on common devices before sending it out!! marketing 101.

Hmm I used to work for Experian data marketing and we would get sued HUGE amounts if we sent mail shots to dead people and were very VERY careful about that (I worked in IT, not the marketing, but yes I still feel dirty by association).

Isn't that the same for everyone?
