Might need org help Friday/Saturday please

Hey guys!!

Basically there is GSXR750 for sale that Chris has offered cash on. If the guy says yes he wants it picked up at the weekend. Chris is in London and might be stuck there till Saturday night.

The bike is in Rotherham and I have suggested going up on Friday night, staying over and bringing the bike back myself on Saturday. I learnt on his 750 so have no problems riding it back.

This is a big IF, cos if Chris can wangle it he will come back from work Friday.

If there are any of you local to the area that could help me out with places to stay, local train stations and stuff,?? Basically any ideas that will make this a little easier to organise.

YES!!! Got the go ahead on the bike but Chris will pick it up on Sunday. Not sure on the plans yet but like I said if there is anyone that can help us out locally it would be a huge help????

What sort of help do you need?

Rotherham is just around the corner from here, so I can probably help out with most things.

train to sheffield, bus or train to rotherham..simples!!..what else u need to know, oh and rotherham is about 5 miles from sheffield, and the M1 motorway is only a mile or so from town centre...

Hiya, trying to have as many options as possible. The bike is in Brinsworth.

Somewhere to stay if he goes up on Saturday? Premier Inn maybe?

And/Or someone who fancies giving him a lift from hotel/coach station to bike address.

Failing everything I might have to drive him but I really don't fancy a 7/8 hour round trip unless we go up Saturday night, have a dirty "weekend" away and then back Sunday. lol

I'd go with the dirty weekend away if I were you - theres a Travel Lodge at Meadowhall which is less than a mile away, and you can go shopping while he's doing the deal then ;)

Rotherham train station is further away from Brinsworth than Meadowhalls station, and they're currently in the process of rebuilding the former at present. I'm not totally sure where you're coming from, but you've got two main options on the rails - Manchester then across the Pennines or Bristol - Sheffield via Birmingham. Theres a good local bus and train system here, so you shouldn't have to resort to taxis.

If I'd seen this earlier I'm going up North Saturday with a two bike trailer, hopefully picking a bike up in Leeds Sunday morning and then heading south to the Channel ports.

Let me know if this helps at all, although time will be tight and all of the Pug's power called into towing duties.
