senna was killed by a loose tyre hitting him on the head... buemi was lucky they didnt head back towards him..

I thought after the Senna accident it was mandatory to have the wheels tethered, but I guess whatever they were tethered to, fell off as well!

It is, but the tethers are attatched to the front upright which broke hence the tether broke as well. ( According to the BBC Website )
That looked a nasty incident just looked like the front suspension literally exploded :smt107
That there is some powerful braking...

am i the only one that finds it amusing waching him try and stear the car after the wheels have just exploded off infront of him ?

He was going in a straight line so I assume that whichever part failed on each side would have been equally affected by the g-forces, thus failing at the same time. About 5G when they break I think.

Well if it is the new part that failed and the new part was on both sides of the car, logic would dictate thats why both sides went.
